Copyright Infringement Report

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512(c), limits our liability for copyright infringement by web content residing on our servers.

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used or copied, and that it now resides on our servers in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, the DMCA details certain steps you may wish to take. One of these is to give us notice, by providing us certain types of information specifically outlined in 17 U.S.C. § 512(c).

Notice will not be effective unless and until it is delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, or other delivery service, to the following address:

Advantage Tech Resources
Web and Custom Design Division
4956 West 6200 South, #231
Salt Lake City, Utah 84118

You must provide the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your postal mail address
  • Your telephone number
  • The URL, path or other specific location on the service where the allegedly infringing material is located
  • A description of the allegedly infringed work, including (if available) the URL, path or other specific location where the copyrighted work may be found for comparison
  • Your relationship to the owner of the allegedly infringed work (e.g., owner, authorized representative)

In addition to the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c), the notice must contain the following affirmation:

"By submitting this complaint, I affirm, under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate, that I am the copyright owner or I am authorized to act on such person's behalf in this matter, and that I have a good-faith belief that use of the material in question, in the manner complained of, is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."

Finally, the notice you send us must bear your original signature, or that of your agent (a person or entity authorized to act on your behalf). If the signature is that of your agent, the document giving that agent the authority to act on your behalf in this matter, such as a Power of Attorney or similar document, should also be enclosed.
